Snow started to fall yesterday in the resorts but today looks like being the day of the heaviest falls in the north and unfortunately a bit wet later in the south. We will add to this gallery as the day progresses and hopefully show images from not just in and around the resorts but also of snow reaching areas that don’t often see snow.

This weekend marks the ‘Official’ opening to season 2019, even though a few resorts are already up and running due to the best early snowfalls since 2000. We take a look at what lifts each resort are planning on running this weekend.

Today Mt Buller announced the resort is opening early on Saturday 1 June to mark the first day of winter with free skiing and boarding on Bourke Street riding the new Bourke Street Express chairlift.
