Default What is your favourite snow cam view?

Of all the snow cams out there (not just on this site), which is your favourite?

Mine would be the Cedarwood cam at Falls Creek as it operates at night and is well lit up. I wish the resorts would have more at night showing the villages so we could actually follow how much snow is falling.

I like this one too! I'm hoping to set one up on the new verandah at Drifthill.

Need to research it a bit.

I dont understand why Thredbo deleted their village cams. when I would see snow on ground in the village I would start packing. The view in the village shopping, the bridge view nothing would get me there faster!

Yeah I liked the village cam too. I'm not sure why it went as I'm sure it was their most viewed cam. Maybe it's got to do with it doesn't show snow 95% of the time or maybe cause people used to write messages in the snow in front of the cam.

Jax, that would be great. Not sure what your view is but one way to pay for these things it to have some kind of advertising sign in the view. Cedarwood should get a sponsor and place it on the barrel or the front of the table to cover costs.

What kind of messages and who was writing them I wonder...

I was trying to set up a cam when I lived in the village square.
Jax, you will need to speak to your service admin to see if they have the relevant software installed.

A shame about the village cam and almost certainly tactical in its removal.
    Do it the snow way!

I agree about the village cam again for the reason if there was snow in the village it was a very good sign. Next fave is Mid station perisher when the sunrise is just right.

For some reason even though the majority of my skiing is at Thredbo I like to look at the Olympic Cam. It has 4 rocks that run diagonally from left to right in the middle of the picture. The closet rock appears to be the smallest and they get larger as they get further away from the screen. Give a good indication on snow depth for me.

The lack of cams at Thredbo astounds me. Like the Ceederwood Cam the exposure it gives their lodge with free advertising is a clever marketing idea. It's cheap and easy to install cost next to nothing to run and give people a true indication of actual snow fall 24/7. Skijacsksi if you did this at your place I reckon it would be a go to camera for everyone to check out village snowfalls exposing your business to everyone that views it. I'd even throw in a couple of hundred bucks to put a stubby holder with my company logo on a table. Excellent exposure lol.

Yep that's the one. Some glorious piccies, especially in the morning and if the guns are running.

Jax, can you take a photo of what the view would be if you had a cam in the place you were thinking?
