I just want to snowboard.
I have accommodated booked but it was done a while back. Just have to wait and see.

Really feel for you guys Paul and all small business owners doing it tough. Hopefully this thing gets nipped in the bud sooner rather than later. This year I haven’t booked anything and was going to wait for a decent dump and try and secure something last minute. Murphy’s law will give us pleat of snow and resorts closed.
On another note @ Pete when I click on links I am being diverted to click bait website pages. Using an iPad FYI.

Looking into it
IÂ’ve been skiing since 1964. Last 10 years at Perisher. Being now 70 and at higher risk but trying to get another season in IÂ’ve been thinking on how to regulate the keep distance rule. Poma is easy, T bar - one person only. Chair lifts with 4 seats x one at each end. The eight seater at Perisher maybe three people. Less than 4 seats- one person only.Bars could stay closed and take out food and coffee only. But accomodation is the problem as is movement of people across state borders. Needs someone in the industry trying to find acceptable suggestions if there is a relaxing down from Stage 3. Made my booking in January as normal and hope to use it - sigh!!!!
I think Murphy's Law may apply Paul... Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.

So far I have heard it will be much wetter and even colder than average, hopefully we will get some of the season in, even if it is just August and September.
At the end of the day if I can have a 5 to 7 days skiing a year, that would be a season for me.

The wintry blast has brought me (& probably plenty of others) out of hibernation. I am probably in the best shape that I have been in several years as I was well into training for an OS trip which was canned back in early March. Now I have fingers crossed for a start to the season if this thing passes and border controls are lifted.
I drink, therefore I am. Ummmm?
I reckon this season is going to be a cracker snow wise. Whether we will be allowed to ski it is another thing.
Do it the snow way!
I'm thinking resorts will open from July 1st on a limited capacity at first. The snow we have at the moment will more than likely be gone in two weeks. It will depend on when resorts will start making snow as well. Usually Perisher would start this week but I can't see anyone starting the guns up until June. Accommodation is going to the the tricky thing.

With the announcement yesterday to allow day trippers to go to the ski resorts in Victoria I can see lifts opening much earlier than I first thought, the question is will they make snow for what will be limited numbers, seeing as the lodges will not be allowed to have guests.
Well NPWS are discouraging day trippers with snow play prohibited. biggest joke ever. Though I noticed the gutless idiots pulled their facebook post.

Is anyone down the snow atm ? NSW specifically.
I'd love to get some feedback, thinking about a spring ski after that last dump.
