    Default Snow coming today!

After the rain passes we should see a blast of cold air and some light snow falling. Won't be a lot of snow but the guns should be able to get going later today and then probably most of tomorrow if not all day. Clear cool nights next week should help the snowmakers create a base to get some lifts going for opening at all resorts except maybe Selwyn.

Rain band has mostly passed by. Unfortunately it was too warm to snow. Hopefully we can get a little snow later tonight and the guns can get going.

I haven't heard what is happening at the Victorian resorts, but I am guessing the silence means they didn't get any snow at all, they usually report every snow flake that falls

Perisher front valley was looking good there for a while on the cams.

The moisture band separated from the cold air and we only got rain and a dusting in NSW. Our only hope now is for snowmaking to create enough to open next weekend. There is a slight chance that the system that looks like dropping rain for opening weekend could get colder and drop some snow.

Baw Baw and Buller should be ok as a result of their snow factories already compiling a fair bit of snow. A great investment for them. Selwyn bought one last year but sent it back. When I enquired about it they said "it didn't meet their needs", which is odd considering they struggle to maintain a cover due to their position and low elevation.

Perisher will obviously be ok on Front Valley, Thredbo will be touch and go to have enough to open.

Falls Creek are a bit ahead of Hotham in the snowmaking but I think they both may be ok to get a run or two open, but it will be a thin cover at best.
