    Default Hey Guys

    Hey

    Long time

    Where is everybody?

What's everybody up to this Season?

As always I will be hitting Perisher.

I will be heading down with the Grom (who is 6 now) alot (both got season passes).

I will be flying Han Solo and would like to slide with some like minded peeps.
Basically all mountain cruising, not really a park rat.
I'm ok with riding with Intermediate and up - if you are a beginner and ask real nice I will slide with you and try my best to give you some tips

I'll post up the weekends that I will be sliding and hopefully we can catch up

First weekend will be 23,24,25 June

    Catch Ya Soon
    Mad Respect

Only have a weekend planned at Thredbo later in August. We had a week in France reviewing the new club med snow resort so are not doing interschools this season (which the tadpoles are not happy about).

Living in Thirroul in the Gong. Getting back into golf after a break when we had kids....and struggling.

I skied the available width of Front Valley a zillion times at Perisher last Tuesday and Wednesday, heading up for a few solo trips sleeping in the car over the course of the season and for a week in August with the family (in a hotel). Got to love the Epic Pass. Heading to Canada in January/Feb 2019, so I am busy (and near broke)

14 (make that 15) posts. Is that all I've done? Sorry. I need to do more typing and less stalking.

There's heaps of decent places to car camp. The Diggings, Ngarigo, Island Bend and Hatchery Bay all have toilets and allow camping. Camping at the clay pits and the bowlo are not allowed

Usually Thredbo Diggings. As long as you have some ventilation you don't get cold. Seems like a contradiction, but if you leave your windows up, the condensation freezes on the inside of the windows and cools the car even more. I leave 2 windows down about an inch or two. The other important thing is the base. If you have a good base to sleep on, you'll be fine - avoid blow up mattresses. Just after that mega storm number 3 in September last year, I slept in a t-shirt and shorts when one night the car thermometer said it was -4.

Having said that, I love staying at the Man From Snowy River.

A few suggestions will be much appreciated......Staying @ Jindy for the first time, usually stay on snow but we have a few visitors coming & going so we booked a townhouse with off street parking. Usually have breakfast in & lunch on the hill but we like to eat out. No doubt we'll hit up the Brumby bar & Bango's, but any suggestions for good grub ? We have teenagers, not a precious crowd who love a good burger & pizza. I did spot Japanese @ Nuggets.....

The Japanese isn’t too bad, they do a decent Ramen.
Birchwood for a top brekky. The Jindy Brewery is also well worth checking out. They’ve awesome beers and good food.
