Default Rossignol Sin 7 2015 model

After having spent a season on a set of Rossignol Soul 7 skis, I was expecting the all new Sin 7 to be a winner, I took a chance and mounted a set of Griffon bindings on a set of 188cm long Sin 7's and went up to Falls Creek last Monday 14th July.

The weather was clear and the snow was packed on the groomed with a couple of patches of ice from the snow making guns on Scott chair raceline, the maze area was untracked in many places, and chopped up crud and moguls in other places, widow maker had great moguls, and father fosters was good for some high speed skiing.

My first run down the summit, I thought they were fairly ordinary and was wondering had I made a mistake, it was my first ski run in over 6 months, so I did another run or two down the summit including one run in the crud, this made me lift my game and ski better rather than being lazy, that is when I discovered how good these skis are, once I got my ski legs back, they Sin 7 skis really performed as expected.

Iit is hard to tell if the edge hold is better than the Soul 7, as it could just be the conditions on the day, but it sure felt like they had better edge hold, they made the bigger moguls fairly easy to negotiate, the crud was no harder than the groomers, and at around 70kph, they were very stable and smooth, I wanted to do a second run down father fosters to try them at a faster speed, but we ran out of time, I felt like I could have gone at least another 20kph and still felt at ease.

I think I just found my new ski for when I ski in Australia, as I also kept my Soul 7 skis for overseas trips.

They have been the ski to have this winter, taking a lot of sales from the Soul 7 and other brands.

Such a great ski for here in Australia for all conditions, I took my set with me to Hakuba January /February 2015, I didn't really expect to be skiing knee to waist deep powder most days, but that is what we did.

The Sin 7 was a perfect ski for this trip, I look forward to testing the newer model next year.
