Default OzSnowAdventures, only markets tour lift tickets to Thredbo and other complaints

I know there is a bitter rivalry between Thredbo and Perisher, of which I prefer Perisher, because there are more Beginner runs

But having bought an Ozsnowadventures tour a couple of times they vehemently discourage people from buying lift tickets to Perisher, with those working on the bus telling falsified stories that the snow shuttle takes 90 minutes to get to the ski fields of Perisher, when there is no such thing! Especially for those who are uninformed and know little about the difference between Perisher and Thredbo, um... other than Friday flats at Thredbo you cant really ski anywhere if youre at a beginner level !

This is blatant anti-competitive behaviour, and I myself have told the friendly staff at Perisher that Ozsnow is doing this.

Also Ozsnowadventures tend to bunch boys and girls non-couples together in hotel rooms, sometimes even putting mattresses for beds on 'oversold' tours, pretty desperate if you ask me

They also own and run The River Inn at Thredbo at the base of Friday Flat.

I am not taking sides here, but I first put skis on at Thredbo long before Friday flat existed, I learnt to snowplough up at Merrits, I am not sure it is still suitable, but I think it would be, Friday Flat would be a lot better in foul weather though.

I know nothing about that travel company, so no comment there.

I was curious so I googled them and came up with a page recommending only Perisher for lift tickets.

Merritts is mostly green runs and they take up 4 year olds in ski school.

They used to advertise on here a couple of seasons ago. We took the family for a weekend at River Inn, would not go back. It's ok for backpackers and younger people that want to party. It was noisy outside our room til about 3-4am, service was slack with breakfast late due to hungover staff. It may have changed since then, I did complain via email after we got back. I don't like to publicly complain about places but would hate for another family to go through the same thing as we did.
