Hi, does anyone know how you can get insured to ski out of bounds?

I don't think you can, but I am happy to be corrected.

There are a couple of possibilities, but you need to research their restrictions & limitations: Ouch.com.au, Insure4less, Allianz(?)
    Japan snow endless discovery

Is this for Australia or overseas? Are you with a guide or with a group of friends?

The ski pass for La Grave and other resorts in France may cover you in off piste within resort boundaries including helicopter rides to the hospital.

Double check on the resort you are going to and don't go off piste if you are unsure as tempting as it is and don't rely on Internet forums as the sole source.

What about if you are with a guided group, like a Niseko powder tour going out the gates with a guide/instructor??

I assume this is for OS. I went with Accident and Health through a broker. Covers out of bounds with $250 excess (actually that is for all skiing) and covers heliskiing with a $500 excess.

About 10% more exxy than travel insurance direct.
