AUSTRALIAN Olympic medallist Shane Perkins was no match for the man dubbed 'Quadzilla', racing to third in the men's sprint at cycling's World Cup.

Germany's Robert Forstemann claimed the gold just ahead of Nicholas Njisane of Trinidad with Perkins third.
Forstemann had his thighs measured in January, which put them at a whopping 28 inches in diameter - that was one inch bigger than the woman's waist who measured him. Other measurements have put Forstemann's thighs at 34 inches.
Perkins tried to put the 'Quadfather' out of his mind as he defeated England's Matt Crampton in the ride-off for third place after getting the better of compatriot Matthew Glaetzer in the quarter-finals.
Australia ended the three-day meeting second on the standings behind rivals Great Britain who cleaned up with eight medals - half of them gold.
Olympic champion Anna Meares, racing at her first major international competition since the 2012 London Games, walked away empty-handed after finishing fourth in the women's sprint and then seventh in the keirin event on Sunday.
Luke Davison (omnium) and the women's pursuit team (Annette Edmondson, Rebecca Wiasak, Georgia Baker and Elissa Wundersitz) added bronze medals for Australia while there was silver from Rebecca Wiasek (individual pursuit) and the men's team pursuit quartet of Alexander Edmondson, Luke Davison, Mitchell Mulhern and Miles Scotson.

I always had doubts about Perkins but this is ridiculous. You can't tell me that you get like that naturally through hard work.
