Oh and I have read over the other side that the visa waiver for the US may end up getting a fee so if that is the case register for next season earlier than you normally would. It has a 12 month validity so it would cover early Jan/Feb visits. I am going to hold off until I know more about it. So for our Seattle side trip we would have to get it.

nah. I might just spend a night in vancouver (that will allow us to hunt down some gear at sporkchek) and just go sking/tubing/sledn for 12-14 days. I'm beginning to think it will be less work with teens who will be keen to go skiing.

Tho we might spend an extra night and head off to the beoing factory tour in seattle.

I'll be flying in a 777 to Paris with Malaysia Airlines - only time I've seen a plane with 5 seats across the middle - perfect for us! Oh, just checked, the AC 777 is different, it is either a 777-300ER or 777-200LR. Ours will be a 777-200. Here is a link -

    Sweet!

Do people sneak people into their accomodations? For example it has a max occupancy of 5 and you sneak the 6th little person in without telling anyone? Or perhaps people sneak more in.

We three stay in a studio on the lake at Tahoe that's licensed for 2 occupants. Its big enough, and the sofa is big enough for moi.

Off topic, sorta, is the Colorado (Copper, Winter Park, Mary Jane) Superpass.

The Superpass for 2010/11 is on sale tommorrow (before Perisher Marketing get out of bed) It looks like Superpass holders can get discount rates at Whistler. How much offf I can't see though. Anyhows it might be worth looking into if anyone's planning Whistler & WinterPark, Copper and Steamboat.

As much as I love Whistler, Steamboat, Copper and Winter park, I don't think I would be buying a seasons pass for next year until I hear they are out of receivership.

What's the best family resort in Canada? We haven't committed to any resort yet and am curious to hear other peeple's thoughts on it.

Would really love some help here.... It looks like we are in from a week in Whistler and a week in Lake Louise leaving Aus approx 2nd week Jan.....
Most prices are out now !!! You must be looking in the wrong places !!! (don't look at overseas websites)

Cheap flights to USA/Canada are selling out fast. The Olympics got many people moving earlier than usual & global financial crisis is over.

For many dates now cheapest seats are gone.

Regular skiers, who go to North America every year, book their Dec-Jan flights at end of Jan/start of Feb, 6 weeks or so ago.
