Hairfarmr, $us95 including a lift ticket looks good as a typical rate on www.snowbomb.com. (The bus link is on the left side of the screen in blue under the heading 'Quick Links").

fyi, Avis.co.uk though allows a pick up and drop off near the Heavenly Gondolo for about (iirc) 60BDP (plus insurance) which is something like $120USD atm. I've heard Hertz do likewise, but they definitely upsell their insurance and it hurtz.

But if Snowbomb is $95 including a lift ticket, what is it for a weekly trip? Does Snowbomb do 'weekly rides', ie pick you up on the 1st (with luggage like our travellers will have) and return you on 7th?

    Here's a bit from snowbomb's site:

Professional drivers, LUXURY buses, DVD players, TV, restrooms. You can sleep on the way up and watch a movie on the way home. Relax, enjoy the carpool lane, forget about parking and let SnowBomb treat you to a no worries day on the hill.

    Pick up/Drop off times:
    4:30- Departure to resort
    8:30- Arrive at resort
    9:00-4:00- Ski/Snowboard!!
    4:30- Depart from resort
    8:30- Return home
    Pick up locations:
    San Carlos
    Oakland
    Pleasanton
    San Francisco
    Sunnyvale
    Walnut Creek
    San Rafael (Saturdays Only)

Hairfarmer, on the assumption most Aussie travellers land in SFO Airport, where do they have to go (at 4am) to catch the bus?

The buses might really suit those who want to get to Heavenly and avoid car hire.

(Or there's Southwest from SFO or Oaklands to Reno and the airport shuttles).

So where's your trip report Hairfarmr?
