Look, I'm so relaxed I can't even remember back to the start! We had a nice quick trip
Lunch Pitt stop at Lynwood cafe Collector is well worth the 1 minute detour off the freeway. Picked up a few scrummy jams and chutneys as well.
Kids ran around in the cold evening air then settled down to 3D Journey to the centre of the Earth while mum and dad got us all settled and unpacked
First days out were cold to say the least. Our friends kept waxing on about their glorious week before we arrived. Then it rained.
Then!!
and
boy oh boy it was cold up top...it was really really windy and there was this constant blast of tiny little balls of white "pyth" ouch!!
So I do believe I inadvertently found my first "wind blown stashes" purely by the nature of the weather! Such a lovely silence as you crumble through the groomers then suddenly hit a "stash". Like feather pillows!
Our pattern each day seemed to be a few runs on Merrits (stock up on coffee and chocolate croissants, then over to Antons. We braved the blast in the basin a few times
(after all, that gave us a reason to visit kareela more than once , and we really loved that dip from the top of the basin around the back of Eagles nest and down to Black Sallees (it's all about the food hee hee...oh, and lovely Belgian beer!)
oops, I think I'm on the picture limit.
will add a couple more later

the kids had a great week.
Beastie was tireless. Getting last tracks with dad after two days in milos.
Snowbrat finally agreed to a private lesson to help him nudge through the next barrier and handle the blacks with a bit more skill (not that mum can talk...). This is him and Meta Von Essen revelling in my anxiety before we popped down Sachas Schuss which was actually just lovely big puffy bumps. Very easy...and I had been so scared!
this was the day after that nice little dump
what coffee would be right without it...
it was a very busy week in thredbo. But all in all the lines moved pretty quickly (the trick seemed to be jumping in the singles lane)
there were some days when poor old Sundowner was really having a downer. This day was quite nice (or was that because of the sechwan squid and glass of beer at Kareela the world looked rosy...). Here's Mr Legs moseying home down sundowner
there were lots of jovial types on the hill this week. Everyone was pretty happy! These Irish chaps were especially fun in the terraine park!
and because skiing all day is never enough...we always pack the swimmers for an afternoon or four in the Leisure centre!!

WARNING - thanks god I read the label before I ate my roasted almonds...
I think this was just after Sponars opened!! whoo hoo
and this is officially my favourite run ever! What Fun!! (even if it's over quickly)
hitching a ride in a bit of sunshine
goose knows what it's all about
By late yesterday afternoon, the blasting wind had us scurrying home by 4.30. by which time the guns were well and truly blazing.
They've been pumping out the man made for the last few nights. So this obviously means the temps are nice and low getting ready for Wednesdays crop! envy from me after 9 days of sunshine, snow, wind and "stashes"? YOU BET!!!!!

Well done Legs, I too like the last - looks like you made your own little fireworks/flare run and didn't miss out after all
So glad you dropped in and said high, that I had the chance to met you all. Pink Princess would have loved to play and my fairy thought you were all lovely.
