Thanks for the trip report. Is now a really bad time to note that Aspen had 28cm of snow overnight!!? It sounds like you guys made the most of the conditions presented to you, which is all you can do.

Re: Xena in the USA trip report
xena, I think you need a new hobby, ...... bored skiing!!!!! That means you are never, never, never skiing again.
Even though it is the wrong time of year, it is great that you had fun, except for the nose and alt sickness.
Next time!!!! GO February and March. We loved the area but still prefer Utah, have skied from beginning of Feb to end of April through Utah, colorado and Wyoming, it was a blast.
Dump the school work!!

Re: Xena in the USA trip report
I shall defend myself here and say no I was not bored with skiing, rather bored of the crap snow! When the resort has got only 45 - 85cms, it is understandable, yes????
Vail had 22inches while we were there - 45cms. Breck and Keystone had 26inches - 55cms. Aspen and Highlands had 26inches - 65cms. The best we had was Snowmass with 34inches - 85cms. Except for the two mini dumps we had of 3 inches at Vail one night and a further 2 inches at the Aspen 4 three days later.Last edited by Xena; 18-01-2012 at 07:42 PM.

Thanks for the report Xena. Sad that you didn't get the best conditions.
How many days till it snows again?
