Sounds exotic, Bear.
I'll be off to ski in late February and Taxman will come across for 2 weeks.

Re: Ok Time to live vicariously through others. Where you heading this summer?
from mid feb - 4 days in Rusutsu followed by 5 days in Furano on another old farts dads ski trip.
I see people my age (late 40's) who cant walk up a set of stairs let alone go sking so I figure while you can (slide) you damn well should! Us older blokes might have started to stick to the groomers a little bit more than we used to as we get older but the laughs and practical jokes continue none the less. Yee-haw!
Every morning I turn into a cereal killer.

Heading back home do Sweden after xmas sometime so will get some skiing in there, will hopefully be able to drop in to Cham for some turns as well.
Other than that it will be hiking and climbing in the Oz hills. The main goal this hiking season is to do the Aussie 10 with Little Swede
-- Summer is just a short period of bad skiing --

I'm off to Niseko for two weeks in January. Maybe some side trips to Rusutsu as well. Hopefully lots of trees and powder.

Re: Ok Time to live vicariously through others. Where you heading this summer?
7 days in Nozawa, starting with the Dosojin Fire Festival, which seems to involve alcohol and setting fire to stuff, so it seemed a good way to start the trip. Then to Yuzawa for 7 days, then to a place called home. Hopefully in that time, there will several metres of snow (like last year), new places to ride, less inappropriate stopping manoeuvres than normal but I doubt that, great food, cold beer and work still can’t contact me in Japan
