Spose I'll have to go for the local team.

    From here:
    http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2...29/3024789.htm
"District Court jury took less than two hours to find the Manly Sea Eagles star not guilty on all three charges"

So glad Brett has been found not guilty on all charges. Found it very hard to believe that he would overstep any boundaries, even after a few drinks.
Let's hope he gets over this, as well as his injuries, and can concentrate on a good 2011 footy season in the Maroon & White colours.

    And From here:
    http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news...929-15wh8.html

"the girl, who is now aged 19 and cannot be named for legal reasons.
She admitted to having been diagnosed with a mental illness, the details of which cannot be disclosed due to a court order prohibiting publication.
Her father, a convicted criminal who has served multiple jail terms for dishonesty offences, also gave evidence and passionately supported his daughter's version of events."

I always thought there was a lot more dodgy aspects to the girl & her father.
If they did in fact do the wrong thing and/or tried to embellish/lie about what really went on on the night in question, I hope they pay for it dearly.
Just like anyone should - you, me, whoever, if we try to make stuff up for our own unlawful benefit we should get burnt.

So sad this kind of stuff happens in society eh.
Go Sea Eagles | Mmm.. Beer.

    ^^^^ Yeah, wot he said!

The smartest team will win on Sunday. That'll be the Dragons. Here's the proof...

After getting flogged by the Bulldogs 60-14 in Round 3, and then getting walloped by the Dragons 28-6 at home in Round 7, and then in Round 9 getting flogged by the Cowboys 32-14 at home, Brian Smith knew that the Roosters were really starting to struggle. So he wandered down to the Dragons training to have a chat with Wayne Bennett.

Brian said "Wayne, I need help, tell me what I can do to turn this poor form around?"

Wayne said "Look, Brian, you've been around a long time...I’ve flogged you in 2 Grand Finals, but I'll give you a tip. You have to make your players intelligent”.

So Bennett calls out to Michael Weyman "Hey Weymo, come over here big fella! Who is your mother and father's child, but is not your brother or sister?"

Weyman has a chuckle and says "That's easy, it's ME!", and he jogs back to the boys.

Smithy is amazed...so he thanks Benny for his advice and heads back to training.

"Braith", he says on his return, "Come over here mate, I’ve got a question for ya... Who is your mother and father's child, but it’s not your brother or sister...?"

Braith looks really puzzled, and then finally concedes and says "Smithy, give me some time to think about it and I’ll get back to ya".

Smithy says "Alright. I'll ask you again at training tomorrow."

Braith is really confused that night and decides to ask the smartest ever Rooster he could think of. The only name to come to mind was Gus Gould. So he calls him up....

"Gus, it's Braith here, I got a question mate... Who is your mother and father’s child, but is not your brother or sister? It’s really got me puzzled."

Gus says "That's easy mate, it's ME!"

Braith is a happy boy, so he goes back to training the next day ready to deliver the goods.

Braith goes up to Brian Smith and Smithy asks the question again...

"So, Braith, who's your mother and father’s child but is not your brother or sister?"

Braith grins like a Cheshire cat and says "That's too easy, it’s Gus Gould!".

Smithy sighed heavily, knowing his team now has no hope at all for Sunday….

So he replied "No, you bloody idiot!!! It’s Michael Weyman!!!"

Hope no one is a Willie Mason or Jonathan Thurston fan. Looks like they (and others) be kicked out of the NRL on Monday due to match fixing.
