Not being a league fan I don't have much to say except:
    - Footy show was watchable last night, I hope it stays this way.
    - Sports tips should do odds on first player arrested for assult/peeing in
public etc. Would probably be the most popular tipping option and
would only be a short period to see the result.

    Right on Caboose!!

It's GREAT to see the footy season kicking off again!
Only 1 from 2 tips right myself so far, but lovin' it!
The Dragons looked like they were pushing the whole time, not letting off - good to see.
And the Cowboys' comeback was great - shame they didn't quite come over the top for the win, but was an exciting last 30mins!

Got to hand it to Wayne Bennett. Very cunning having Soward deliberately kick the ball dead all night and not let Hayne bring it back, also lets the defensive line get set.

I thought the Eels and Cowboys with the young Brisbane team looking very good and making a mockery of my tips and I'm sure a few others as well..... Oh well that's what happens in the first few weeks of season, a few upsets teams jostling for position etc....

Make that 0 from 3 with the Knights totally upsetting the Bulldogs... 20-16... what a boilover, would like to have seen that one...

You are not the only 1 Spicey, a lot of the tipsters in the Comp are going poorly.

Man I think Souths believed their own hype.... I couldn't help but think "oh no" as I was reading an article yesterday about one of the Souths players talking about how they were going to beat the Roosters and how they deserved the favourites tag.... Doh!!!!! Legends in their own lunch box... crap display and shows what good coaching will do. Smith had the Roosters ready and I wouldn't be surprised if he got them to read a few of the Souths players comments.... All I can say is good job by the roosters and maybe Carney is the NSW blues team's answer at 5/8!! He is the type of player they need.
