2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games Thread

I am surprised someone else didn't start a thread for this.

I am all set up on the couch where I normal would say I would be sitting for 16 days but its a damn shame someone has to get on a plane on Friday night.

So did anyone get the foxtel package? I seriously considered getting it until I realised I would miss 9 days of the competition.

So what are everyone's must see sports?

The young girl in me usual is riveted to the Figure skating, The teenager in me is still in awe of the aerialists, and sadist in me loves the GS for the spills. Although hopefully there will be no more serious injuries in these games. My condolences to Nodar Kumaritashvili family. Such a devesativing thing to have woken up to this morning.

But lets enjoy the games.

A funny thing - my mum asked who Torah Bright was and why she got to carry the flag.....

I said a snowboarder and she still said 'but why her?' - Umm cause she is the current world champion..... Oh okay then - says mum.

Has the womens aerials schedule been moved? Neither Lydia or Jackie are marching. Ken keeps saying because of their schedule but I thought it wasn't until the second week?
