Nope, but my sister ran it!
Hopefully catching up with her on the weekend, want me to get some lowdown on what the track is like?

I used to know someone who used to run it. But he's dead now. :(
You can't tell which way the train went by looking at the tracks.

I've done 6 foot track from Katoomba to Jenolan.. it's a great hike...
I think you're supposed to do it in 2 days... but we comfortably did it in 3...
it's definitely worth it, and at the end you can always check out the caves etc.
I do remember that it was fairly undulating in sections. Unfortunately, I didn't keep a diary back then, so I can't tell you much about it, but I did have a ball.

Hi Karen97,
Not sure if you have done the track yet but I have done it last year...was my last decent hike for a while as I have just had a bub! I plan to take the little tacker up Kosi early next year.
It is a lovely walk with a few good steep sections which ever way you walk it. I walked Explorers tree to Jenolan which puts the hardest day in the middle. The views down Nellys Glen and of Narrow Neck are great. There is a really good website to have a look at if you want terrain profiles/pictures etc. It also has most of the walks in and around Sydney. Its www.wildwalks.com
Enjoy!

Biked along the track from the Megalong Valley Rd crossing to the Jenolan Valley Rd crossing 2 weekends ago, was definitely great fun for the first half, but not too long after the cox river it just goes on a steep uphill with only a few downhill sections for pretty much the rest of it.

A mate of mine ran it in 3:15 at this years running event, which he won BTW & beat the course record by 9min in the process. If you want to see it just type - sleep train six foot track in to You Tube & click on the 1:15 video.
