HOw much gear do you take weight wise? And what is it all? Never done back country so don't know.

My pack was about 16kg all up with water and food, but my skis had to be carried on my back for half of the trip, so add another few kg's. I don't know how much Cabby's was, but he lifted mine to help me over the creek and he commented on how light mine was. I only had my sleeping bag, Exped mat, foamy, stove, fuel, pots, dinner, down jacket, down booties and my vid camera in my pack.
Ohh and one more thing- NEVER hike in down hill boots, when you fall it sux :(
