OK so I have ripped the freerides off my skis and have marked up the dynafits....babow, holes are very close (see pic below, this is the toe piece with the front of the ski to the left of the pic)) to the old freeride holes, I have narrowed it down to 2 choices:
1. Use the "super strong" epoxy to fill the old holes and stick with the current position.
2. Mount the dynafits back 5mm.
The skis are 178 G3 Rapid Transit and they have a really long nose as it is, but I am figuring 5mm will make SFA difference!
What do the learned folk here reckon?

Helicoils and mount centre? Hate being too far back, harder to initiate turns.

I think the holes are just that little too far away from the old hole for the Heli coil plug insert, and a shop would have to do them as well.
Epoxy and move back a few mm, may not even have to be 5mm, i think 2-3 would do it.
The harder turn initiation may not be that noticeable, and the gain in stability at speed would be a good trade off, the way JD skis that could be a bonus.

Make sure to give yourself a comfortable amount of clearance between the pins and the boot. The boot should slide out sideways reasonably easily without putting sideways force on the pins. Unfortunately I learnt this the hard way :(
