Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable.

Nope not yet.
Am hoping to do it this season snow providing!!!
I've been told the hike out is MUCH easier if you go towards the dirty bird instead of up the ridge.
Although I'm thinking of going completely 'slack country' and paying off a friend with a skidoo to come pick me up.Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable.

Razorback Ridge has easy access, especially if u use skins. Its not too steep but there is a creek at the bottom which u could slide into when you fall. Late in the day the sun goes off the slope and the snow hardens up making the hike out treacherous (as happens everwhere).

The easiest backcountry near Hotham is at the back of the Hotham Summit. It's only a very small hike/skate from the lifts or the road. If you travel parralel to the road along the ridge you'll end up at the top of this (i don't know its name):

This pic was in crap snow conditions, so in August it should be sweet!
From here all you need is your mate to pick u up and u can du it all over again!
