I also sell this kit and took it with me to Hakuba where I felt much safer going out of bounds with a group that all had this same kit with them.

The shovel has an extendable probe stored inside the handle.
We didn't have to dig anyone out thankfully, but I wouldn't go out back country without a beacon and the rest of the equipment to dig someone out if buried, even in Australia.

    I also have this kit.

Although lucky for me I've also never had to use it.

Want to go have a play with it with some friends but none of my friends have one and you need another beacon yeah?
Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable.

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer!
