sure is an epic deal! if only we could head over between now and then, unfortunately at that price we'd want to stay longer and then we'd blow our budget etc etc

Except Japan doesn't have to be expensive

I've just booked for some friends at Hakuba, 5 nights, twin share, ensuite, with breakfast, around $380 AUD (about $350 USD)

But it's the lift tickets in Japan that are cheap, at around $40-$50/day or less.

Food is also quite cheap!!!

grab a Southwest fare to Reno;
grab a $50(?) return shuttle to Harrahs Casino;
book Harrah's classic room on 'name your own price' at priceline.com at $70US a night.
Eat pizza and carp rather than $45 steaks
Heavenly pass $369 (last time I looked)
Southwest bank to SF and then home on Vaustralia (or whoever is cheapest).
Add $300US petty cash for spending and tips

Add 7 x $70US for a 2 week trip.

Yep, its not Jackson Hole but its full of the white and fluffy stuff.

And to save $A900, cancel Foxtel.
