Ok,

I think Bear, Karen, Tobi & Gee_Ocal have covered a lot of around hakuba action. So, I wont repeat mountain shots etc as they have it in the bag. Here's a few pics of mine. Nothing flash or artsy fartsy, just some good ol' holiday happy snaps...

First stop - cairns. So, onto my mates boat and it was off to pixie reef around 20kms offshore. Thanks to the power of twin merc outboards, it was a quick trip!

after a bit of a snork it was off to green island for a bit of lunch and some beers. Decided the best bet was to "swim" them back to boat..

went back to cairns, picked the other victims for this trip from the airport and headed back to my mates place for a few beers before dinner. The lure of beer even made The Frog turn up!

So, after finally arriving at Hakuba arouyd 2am sunday morning and grabing a few hours of shuteye we headed out for a ski. It wasnt great and the crowds were thredbo/perisher weekend like in places. Sorry, no pics - I was too busy dodging kamakazies.

Monday we headed to Hak47/Goryu. Thanks to the delights of granite, my skis now have an added feature in the base! (might be time for an upgrade Paul! )

    We
got home to find cujo the killer dog waiting... he looked hungry.

Fried chicken on a stick was popular for elevenses.

    Our digs

how freakn good is udon or soba slopeside from a family run style restuarant?!!!!. One of the best udon's I reckon I'd ever had. Fantastic.

The entertaining walk up the hill after beers. In the dark. ice and snow.

It snowed. Yeti (no, not snowyeti) got a bit excited and charged the new pow only to discover a pile of moguls underneath A lovely double eject and an explosion of snow meant only one thing... where the hell did my ski go! So, time to probe for skis!

Was good catching up! Did anyone get some unusual stickers on their skis from your mates?

ahhh, yes. stickers. more like labels this time. The phantom "labeller" struck nightly. skis and helmets were regularly targeted with all sorts of terms of endearment. I wasnt the phamtom labeller but I have a good idea who it was (even tho they never fessed up)

At least I didnt spend half a day sking with a big sticker on my back proclaimning "Boyfriend Challenged" like last time.
