Evening peoples...
Lovely cool evening here in Myoko.
Ok.. here is a brief summary of what occurring;
Kyoto.. awesome place... so much history must return.
Myoko Kogen... what can I say?
Although, the snow hasn`t been kind (been boarding 2 days now and only about 15 cm max last night after a week or so without any fresh).
I have boarding Akukara yesterday (ain`t that bad at all) amd Signohara today (well it was a saturday but the runs off the top chair were awesome)...
Tomorrow who knows? I have 4 resorts to choose from...
Off 2 grab another 500 ml can of kirin.
jyaa mata snowatchers...

evening peoples... not much to report on the snow side but there is a bit due tonight.
Was out at akakura onson and akakura kanko today.
There are trails joining the resorts but you need seperate tickets unless you get a multi resort ticket (however, I had a problem at the main quad in akakura onsen with my multi ticket and had to hike about a k or so down the road back to akakura kanko).
The resort was alot less crowded today.. and was back to the traditional japanese no lift queues.
Oh yeah.. yesterday at suginohara, whilst I was on on of the lower chairs.. I heard some strange noises coming from the ravine to my right.
looking over, I spotted a few snow monkeys taking in the afternoon sun... unfortunately, no photos were taken as I had already put the camera away and my gloves back on by the time I saw them..

Had my first taste of honshu powder and luuuuuurved it.
At least 20 cm on the groomers and another 10 odd just off the piste.
Been pukin much of the day and was able to find freshies on just about every run.
By the way, what with these japanese lift queues?
I never had to wait in line for a lift and it was a pow day.....
Thank you snow gods... you made an old man happy!
Hey SW... would definately check out nijo-jo.
The golden temple is OK to look at and take photos but there is not much else.
I saw a couple of temples near the station but then it started raining so I went for a mos burger. Would suggest go for a walk as there are temples, laneways, shops all over the place that are not in any of the guidebooks.
