Ok it's not like fast food is going to be great but it can be convenient. Of the myriad of options is there some better ones to go to or look out for while on the road from LA thru to Colorado?

Chunky, you must stop at the little truck stops or little cafe's they are a blast from the past down south in Utah. +1 and I love them, we are always looking out for the different ones, but don't ask me to name them, as I only remember the last meal!
The big breakfasts are great - you will see all the locals going in for them!

Cheesecake factory-yeah it sells food.
Sorry I only put this up as a any port in a storm activity.
Stayed SLC suburbs-Food appalling, that included those ones they all gush about and I lined up for. You cannot get an awesome meal in SLC.
Jackson-Teton Village and town, some good food, bookings way in advance essential but the few we managed were good.
San F-same as above,
I advise you book in advance

we did the drive from LA to Breckinridge (and back) a few years ago, absolutley loved it, we went through Zion on the advice from some young dude at a truckstop (as per skijacski's advise truckstops are the go). I remember chillin in a spa with a dozen tall boy cans looking up the very nice view of the canyon/valley (what ever you call it)at zion, awsome.
Oh, and one other fast food place was taco bell, i smashed heaps of their tacos while i was there, but funny enough have tried them since that trip (here in Aust i think) and it didnt do much for me??
