Alright everyone, I need your help. Ez Power won't let me buy them because I already have a pair of skis. As if that's a valid point![]()

So I need you all to help me convince her that buying these skis is definitely the right thing to do.
Your help will be hugely appreciated. Thanks![]()

Even though I have just bought a pair of skis from mtbpeteski in the Used Gear Forum, I saw these in the shop when Ez Power was getting her boots fitted. Talk about tempting!
They look like they're built like a house and they're as stiff as Jack Nicholson on those little blue pills. Just the kind of good, beefy ski that I want.

while the principle of having multiple skis is good... i would suggest that those skis might not be what you need... although the radius is different from the ninthwards... they are still fairly wide under foot... wouldn't it be a better idea to get a nice stiff skis around 70 underfoot say a fischer rc4 or nordica spitfire... or any number of stiffer carve oriented skis...

You're absolutely right, but if I did get the AC50's I would more than likely try and sell the Ninthwards - at a loss probably.
I'd be better off just keeping what I have and forgetting the AC50's, but they are just so sexy... Just perfect for me.

A solitary pair? No excuse. A reasonable quiver of skis would be:Originally posted by Principal Douglas:

Race ski (cheater SL or GS);
Mid phat - everyday ski;
Phat ski - for powder days. Okay mostly for OS use;
Slack country AT rig - for off piste excursions;
Lightweigh AT rig - for BC SIC and extended OB trips;
List excludes skis retired to the status of rock skis.
How on earth do you manage with only one pair of skis? Now get to work on it.~~ Peace and noodles ~~Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster – Pastafarism will Rule!

PD - How much do you need a ski that's 82mm under foot in Australia? I got the Volkl Supersport Allstar last year - just amazing. 70mm under foot and as good as you can get for our usual hard packed, with a decent ability in a bit of powder. Nothing holds an edge like them!
Having said that the AC40 would be a good 2nd pair - depending on conditions and your intentions for the day. If it's been dumping down, take the AC40s. If it hasn't snowed for a while and you're carving for the day, take the Supersports.
The AC40 would be an awesome ski - I have no doubt.
