Hi all, I am hunting around for some new ski's for my wife she is 158cm tall and weight is 52kilos. She is at the lower to middle range of intermediate and we ski Hotham. She sticks 99% of the time to the groomed stuff (which can be crud come aug sep when we usually go). Would you be able to recommend a women's ski that I could get her to try out to buy/ I have already spotted the K@ sweet luv's any others?

My wife demo'd the K2 one luv's last year and fell in love with them. She is a little taller and is high intermediate to advanced. The one luvs are a more performance ski than the sweet luvs. She loved them through the slalom gulley crud.

She would have a pair by now but wont be skiing this year due to a swelling tummy.

Love my K2 one loves... have taken me from low intermediate to more advanced. Also love my Misdeamenors. Tried a few others out in JApan... the Apaches but like my missys better.

I skied on the Elan Silver Magic's last year and they were great. I found them easy to turn and nice and light.

I'm a bit taller and a few more kilo's heavier (a lot more at present!), but found these to be one of the best skis I ever tried.

This year in Whistler (I am mid intermediate) I skiied on 4 different skis and loved the Volkl Attiva AC in shorter size than I would normally ski on - 142cm and I am 158cm tall.

You could try the "Wild Thang" from Head. my +1 loves the set I got her last year. Quite forgiving, but will respond nicely when it's given a bit of a hurry up.

The female ski tester I use for the industry ski tests loved the Volkl Attiva.

I've heard from a couple of girls testing Head skis and they both like the Wild Thang and another good ski for the aussie slush could be the Head Cool Thang. .......... However no matter what ski looks or is recommended always try before you buy.
