I agree, but you can't argue against the media, the greater percentage of people believe everything they're told and everything they're told is by the media.

*sigh* I dont think we can dispute that releasing all teh carbon back into the atmosphere at the current levels is not going to be good...
This we need co2 for plants to live is great...really impressive grade 4 science there...
lets look at the bigger picture in this aslong as we stop tearing down all the forests and replant we might have a chance to offset some of the emmisions.
end of the day sure the earth will survive...its been through worse inteh past its a question of how we as a race will go.
Just think of the frogs.

There seems to be a quiet trend now in science to ask not so much how King Kanute can hold back nature, but how best we live with and adapt. No more than common sense really. Alarmist reports and calls for urgent action and $$$ run the risk of exhausting good will before we really have a path figured. To say the 'science is settled' on anything is like saying that we never could move beyond Newtonian mechanics and that quantum mechanics could never ever...

I dont think anyone really doesn't believe that climate change is occuring, sure it has occured in the past it comes down to the causes for these significant changes.
Have we played a part in this? Yes.
Is human action the only cause? No.
Does that mean we should not look at the impact we have on the environment? No.
We need to be aware of our planet, not because we will destroy it but it will destroy us.

A quote in Al Gore Profiteering
"In fact, just two months ago, ABC News.com estimated soon-to-be-Nobel Laureate Al Gore's net worth at $100 million, which isn't bad considering that he was supposedly worth about $1 million when he watched George W. Bush get sworn in as president in January 2001.
Talk about your get-rich-quick schemes, how'd you like to increase your net worth 10,000 percent in less than seven years?"
Its ironic for a " green saviour" that the Mission Statement for his company

Al Gore might be profiting out of it, but he is raising awareness.
Should we cut our emmisssions? absolutely. We consume too much and expel way too much waste. It will be the end of us, no matter how many trees we plant, or how variable our planets temperature is.
The whole global warming debate takes focus of the small difference we can make. This is the problem with thinking on a global scale, we think we can't make a difference.
Focus on our little local environment, our own home and community. Just cut out a bit...we don't need it, and we are not certain that it isn't having an impact on our time as humans on this planet.
uh oh...legths has had a couple...
