It is a fascinating show to watch to see them work out how things happen but sometimes I think I shouldn't be watching it.

I love ACI. It doesnt scare me off flying at all. I watched the JAL worst ever (I think) the night before I boarded a JAL flight.
It gives me comfort in that crashes are so thoroughly investigated and a reason (or usually series of them) is found. Can't think of any other industry (except maybe terroism) that this level of investigation occurs.
I also love that the stuff Ive learned in what I do applies. That is that it's never one thing (nearly always), it's a series of things that build and in isolation could have been handled. A lack of Situational Awareness combined with errors is usually a massive factor. This is the backbone of CRM and is really cool to study.

JAL - ah yes trying to navigate that plane with thrust only between some mountain ranges. Amazing skills to get as far as they did.

I have about 10 of them on the Foxtel IQ thing - gotta love the series link - now just need time to watch them! My wife's "Project Runway", "America's next top model" and "The Janice ****insen Model Agency" appear to be getting more airtime on our TV :S
