what's the name (and a cure) for a fly that
- hovers in groups
- isn't attracted to 1. dog poo or 2. those yellow sticky paper things or 3. to bottles which are traps. Blowies and normal house flies are attracted to these 3 things, but these hovering things aren't.
- grows from a tiny almost-invisible size to housefly-size;
- attacts dog ears and my ankles, bites and draws blood.
I'm at a loss what to do. I've put Vaseline on the dog's ears, all to no avail. I can't use Fly spray 12 hours a day.
Anyone know where the 'babies' come from so I can nuke their nursery?
Any one know any cures? (I'm going to try blood, drained from defrosted meat, in those bottles that one hangs from trees). Any suggestions appreciated
