Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates.

"In honour of this holy season" Saint Peter said, "you must each possess something that symbolises Christmas to get into heaven".

The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. "It represents a candle" he said. "You may pass through the pearly gates" Saint Peter said.

The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He shook them and said "they're Christmas bells". Saint Peter said "you may pass through the pearly gates".

The third man started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a pair of frilly knickers. Saint Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked "and just what do those symbolise?" The main replied....."these are Carol's".

Did you see the carols at boronia park? or the fireworks? Heard them but a building was in the way, so we couldn't see them :( Drove past earlier today going down memory lane for BH and saw everyone setting up

It's a great local night, and one of the few times you can get so up close and personal with the crackers. By the time they stop, your neck is aching because they are right over your head. Oh and that wonderful smell!!! I love crackers :D . We hopped from one picnic blanket to the next, constantly bumping into neighbours and friends while the kids ran themselves ragged.

I might have drinked a little wincy bit much.

It's one of my favourite nights of the year.
