I have been busting to tell people this for a while now but dont want to share with my immediate circle and thought this was the perfect forum to share......
I have applied for the US Greencard Lottery.... for those who don't know what it is a Permanent visa to live and work in the US.
I made a promise to myself that if i didn't have anything to keep me in OZ that i would do this when i turned 30.
And since i currently don't have a job - well not much else to keep me here - I have lived in the US Canada and the UK and I need a new adventure!
It is a long process i wont find out anything until next July... but anyway just had to share.

ozgirl, tell your friends and everyone else you know (and thanks for including us!!). You'll need every bit of positive universal energy you can get.
Best of luck.

Thanks everyone...
Problem is Legs if i tell everyone the opposite will happen - they all don't want me to go ... cutest story ever was when my friends son heard i was going to Africa for a holiday said... Aunty Kim you can can go to on holiday in Australia!
We tried explaining that i was only going for a couple of weeks - but he just didn't believe that i would come home... every one else will be the same way... My mum when she heard i was finally coming home from London rung my best friend and said 'I can't wait for Kim to come home and get married and settle down...'
Thanks Mum!!
Pods - that would be v frustrating!! But at least you can still go, at this rate if i don't start working soon my 30th birthday trip will be camping up the road!

Awesome. I wish I had done something like that.
Fingers are crossed Ozgirl. And remember, there's no numbers after 29.

Karen - yep did it myself, there is only one internet page of questions.
Never use the people who ask you to pay.
The link is http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ but has closed this year.
