Not much other than PACKING FOR JAPAN!!! The +1's going to be working a fair bit so it will probably be a quiet one for me. I usually pop down to the local park for the Aussie day ceremony and the Lions Club bar-b-q breakfast. It's a rather nice way to kick off the day.

Sounds like BBQ's are going to get a smashing this weekend, as they should!!!

Are we going to lamb or is it burnt snags and hamburgers?

Tobes whats this beer fest you speak of. How you go staying dry this week?

Streets party BBQ and cricket with the neighbours in our cul-de-sac. Must drink Australian beer or wine. Food to consist of steak, sausages, lamingtons, vegemite sandwhiches etc...and you must wear thongs.

we are staying out in Blackheath for the weekend. Planning on eating out every meal, but might try squeezing a barbie in (or at least a meat pie...mmmm...Blackheath Bakery).

Goggling today to find cafes, restaurants and maybe horseriding with Snowbrat.

All advice and recommendations welcome.

Vet and Bear, way way way TMI.

Camping at Lake Eildon which includes such things as: eating, drinking, wakeboarding, drinking, skiing, drinking, kneeboarding, sunburning, drinking and swearing at the bloody tent!
Should be a fun weekend of wearing boardies, bathers, singlet and thongs.

Tobi, we want ticks next to the 1's that you try. there better be close to 20 ticks or i will disappointed. :D :D :D

bdenny4, not sure you have squeezed enough drinking in there, and you forgot 1, cursing the bl00dy air mattress that keeps going down in the middle of the night, its a camping must.

Bought a new airbed Batty so hopefully it won't go down :fingerscrossed:
Alcohol I'm taking is actually quite light on: 4 bottles Sav Blanc, 1 bottle Pinot, 6 beers and 6 vodka cruisers. That's for 2 of us for 3 days/nights and I expect to take some home, unless of course some scumbag doesn't bring enough of their own.....

OK, slight change of plans. I'll still be in Jindy for Australia Day, but I've been wanting to catch up with some friends over on the coast and was putting it off until I got back from Japan. But it seems the +1 will be working every evening over the weekend and said friend has a broken foot, can't drive and is housebound. So what the hell, I'm going to head to the coast early Saturday morning, laze about for the day and come back and finish packing on Sunday. :D

Leave Dallas Saturday midday, arrive Melbourne 09:00 Monday; blasted International Date Line ;) But the Friday Night Drinks crowd (est. 1987, still going strong) will have the usual Australia Day drinkathon on Monday afternoon, so I'll stand a chance of staying awake smile.gif

They normally have 20 beers on tap anyway changing the showcase beers every month. They're rooftop beer garden kicks some serious butt too. So I failed at this. After drinking too much beer & vodka at the bbq I ended up only having one beer at the local on Sunday night, I can't tell you what it was as my friend brought it while I was busy stealing a money box off the security gaurds.

Went back yesterday before heading to the espy and they are keeping all the beers on tap until the kegs are gone. Had the Matilda Bay Alpha Pale Ale which was nice. Will probably head there again tonight after hitting up Transport with Numguts & Chris Y.

Drunken antics.

Much like falling in the hole on Monday night and cutting my knees open.

It's all fun and games until the hangover.

Yes i know the feeling, going out a smashing yourself silly trying flips on a wakeboard drunk was funny at the time but when i could hardly get out of bed the next morning i did regret my actions.

Not really. Maybe an average difference of a year or two. Maybe a difference in IQs though. ;)

I'm sure you guys wouldn't have been complaining about the girls walking past with a flag wrapped around their chests and another as a skirt.

But if someone has one around their neck the are automatically a bogan?
