Just wondering how much snow can a snow maker make if a snowmaker can make snow, and if so do resorts include this in their little figures at the top of the page?

The Perisher depth is recorded at Spencers Ck, so that would not include the snowmaking.

I was puzzled by this, because on yesterday's snow depth on the BOM forecast, there were no readings for the snow depth, yet perisher had a depth of 50 odd cm recorded at Spencer's Creek, so. are they making it up, or did Perisher staff go out there and measure it?

Yeh I was confused by the same thing. Perisher are also reporting a different depth from CP and Thredbo even though all 3 have traditionally used Spencers Ck.

BOM is reporting 52.3cm today at Spencers Creek.
Perisher is saying 58cm at Spencers Creek
Thredbo hasn't updated from yesterday, so are saying 0cm at Spencers Creek
CP says 50cm snow depth.

(like if I say it was 15 million litres V's 24 million litres, someone would say I had the wrong unit, so I just said what I could remember accurately)
It was totaly output from the guns last night.

Mt Hotham reported 5300 cubic metres or as they put it - 530 truckloads of snow on Tuesday. http://www.ski.com.au/cgi-bin/admin/news/vnews.pl?ad=-101782-&year=2009
I couldn't see it being 15,000 versus 24,000 cubic metres - the resorts would be buried in snow smile.gif
