I've just been wasting time entertaining myself by looking at skis for sale on snowatch, ebay and any other sites, all the skis I've seen have immaculate bases. I dont understand how you can own a pair of sticks and not scratch them up a little. When i went os, i had three pairs of skis. I did three core deep scratches and numerous other scratches. I envy you protective groomer skiers.

Going over rocks is not 'gaoing hard', it's stupid. Look where you are going. smile.gif ...although accidents do happen.

You obviously are not nimble enough, or you might need glasses, I ski over trees, rocks bushes and my bases are fine.

Hmmm, maybe go on a diet graemlins/snow_cool.gif

See how you go by looking out for those rocks etc.

get real!!!!

When you are early season skiing in Canada in 2 foot (or more!) of Pow, there is NO Way you can see what is underneath!!!! Especially if you are skiing off the groomers (not me!)

All our skis have got scratched, last season at Silver Star and this season at Kicking Horse.

That's the price you pay for skiing the opening week of the season tongue.gif

"these skis are undamaged"
or
"These skis have numerous deep core scrathes cause i didn't look/care where I was going and hit dozens of rocks - if you want them fixed it will probably cost you twice what you are willing to pay in the first place"

well i know which ones i would buy

My brother gave a number of boards core shots. I'd look at his bases and you could very obviously see all the repairs done. He was working in Canada.

I've never done a core shot in my life. I go off piste so often yet never hit a rock hard enough to do any major base damage. I've got boards that are 5 seasons old, all with a fair amount of riding on each (50+ days) and they look like new. I get them professionally tuned every season and I look after them.

The top sheet is pretty scratched up but I don't really care about the top sheet. This is usually damaged in lift lines more than anywhere else.
