From what I've heard from people that have gone up there it's more frozen moisture than snow.

yeah, didn't think it was much spaz. Only looked like that elephant mush. But alot of news services are saying 15-30cm from now till monday. We can only hope...

It seem a lot of people believe those reputable news services. I saw many skis and boards being unloaded from cars yesterday.

Still, imagine if you came here on opening weekend, didn't bring your gear and it dumped!

Well, at least the media is doing its job. Get people up the mountain, encouraging a bit of a skitail lead recovery. ;)

Just out of interest is there lifts running anywhere today?

Haven't been paying much attention.

perisher clame to have one lift for sitseeing and a rope tow for beginners.

If the goverment would hurry up and put NZ back on the domestic plane flight plan we could have plenty of freshies.

I just got home from Perisher been working since 3pm and there has been no snow tonight a fog had rolled in but I could hear the snow guns pumping like mad so it should be good to see tommorrow.

If they are CCD cameras they will pick up infrared light and it would be simply a matter of putting infrared lights on the camera and having them on.

I don't think you could see snow very well because there is an extreme lack of colour. I may test it sometime this year with my headcams.

Looking at todays chart update we could see 30cm or so from Today-Tuesday....and add to that snowmaking. We should have a base for next weekend. graemlins/woohoo.gif graemlins/snow_alert.gif graemlins/ismellsnow.gif graemlins/skier.gif
