If you have a fake bank note. I have a $50 note and it's all cracking around the plastic seal when I hold it up to light. All though it feels the same and colours are normal it is also cracking on the edges.

go to the pub and stick it in the pokies and then get the $50 straight back.
You will either have $50 in coins or get given a fresh crisp one by the staff ;)

There are a few of these doing the rounds at the moment and they are containing the watermarks in them. Some of the easy ways to tell are the white stars in the window are normally liquid paper (don't ask why... maybe the white cant be printed)and from what I know of the last batch, there is a discrepency on the "Govenor" and "Govenor General". (I think the fakes have "Govenor" on them") Also, from what Ive seen, the fakes are beginning to fray around the edges and the white paper is now beginning to show.
As said though, if in doubt, take it to a bank and it will be passed on to the brilliant boys in blue! :D
