so, as most of you may have noticed. Chunky is having a birthday this weekend.

There has been some pancake discussion and I was thinking we could have an internet pancake cook off!

Dig out your favourite recipe, go to your favourite cafe. Howvere you eat them, post your pics here and celebrate!

Banana buttermilk pancakes with palm-sugar butter and berries.

went to yoga this morning...kids were so miffed at me not cooking pancakes we went out for breaky instead...aaaaand...I forgot to take a picture of the pancake banana stack with coconut and chocolate sauce (which to my mind is an obscene breakfast anyway...not that this stopped me helping Goose finish his off tongue.gif )

about 5 seconds after that last photo was taken they were both goneskis! :D

marmalade is YUM just a little runny, but that's ok, it works as an orange sauce too smile.gif Great little multi tasker

Might have some mandarines shortly not sure if they are sweet enough for eating yet, folks are testing them out, if they aren't then it'll be mandarine marmalade. If you have some jars I'll whack some in them for you smile.gif

They look awesome Pods smile.gif

I prefer the thinner style baltic/german pancakes over their American cousins graemlins/snowman.gif

Looks good Pods!

I didn't make the pancakes, but I will as soon as I have someone to share them with.

But I did have organic bacon and eggs as I went to the growers market yesterday. And I has wholegrain sourdough with it. I also brought organic pork belly which I will cook tonight with friends.

YUM

Maybe we should have post your food creations here thread?

mmm pork belly... are those markets on every day?

And I have to confess, I didn't make the crepes, they are the creative gourmet frozen ones. taste just like you'd made them yourself though! 30 seconds in the microwave from the freezer.

Yep nice work! And it doesn't make me feel so bad about having it twice in one day (there was nothing wrong with this mornings, and there was only a tiny bit of ice cream on the dessert ones :)
