Snowline Hotel in Harrietville
Harrietville Hotel/Motel

Both about $100 per night

There is also the caravan park that has cabins but don't know how much they are

for the room
Doesn't include brekkie - but I think the Hotel/Motel does.

Snowline has a nice pub

I have stayed at both and prefer the atmosphere (pub) and food of the Snowline.

Only downside is that you don't get brekkie

We always tend to stay the first night at the Harrietville caravan park, but in a caravan. They sleep about 6, also have a lounge and fridge, freezing cold with a little heater but you just take a sleeping bag. Then drive up in the morning for first lifts then stay in a lodge.

Works out to be about $20 pp I think. Cabins are a bit pricier.

Instead of mansfield try merrijig on the way from Mansfield to Mt Buller. It has a great little country pub, food last time I was there was great and there is a horse riding place across the road that has accommodation that was fairly cheap but I cant remember the price.
