graemlins/snowman.gif How good is that? She is the most excited person in our household, maybe because she doesn't understand how far away '23 August' is. She told our neighbour today that 'we are going snowing next week'. Ever since we put her snow clothes on her to check they fit she can't stop talking about it. I only hope the excitement is still there once we actually put her on skis

It's making me look forward to the annual snow trip even more than usual.

I am assuming we will just start her on skis and see how she likes it.

Anyone know at what age she is likely to rebel and go over to the dark side ie. snowboarding?

Awesome! I guess it's one of those things that makes having kids worthwhile.

Switching to the dark side is not an age thing, it just happens.

Good thing is you'll notice the change coming. First, she'll start calling you Dude, then her pants will start falling halfway down her bum, her personal hygiene standards will fall, and her knuckles will start dragging.... graemlins/cold.gif

Lifesgood our youngest daughter refused to ski and is now a veteran of 3 weeks at the snow and rips. Grand old age of 5.

Of course my opinion could be a tad biassed.

I was "loftily" telling a dad on the lift one day that we wanted them all to be competent skiers first. He chuckled knowingly before disclosing that he had wasted 7 years doing the same with his four kids before each of them turned to boarding and never looked back. His only regret was not letting them get on a board sooner so that they could all enjoy the slopes together.

Suffice to say, I let Goose have a go the next day...and...he has never looked back (though he still packs his skis and will join us higher up on skis while he is still mastering the board).

Yup monstro started asking at the end of last season, now he's only just turned 4 and is still asking.. But I assume thats cos both mum and dad board.

Give him a couple of years and we'll seee.

Little E was slow, steady and safe skier on blues and easy blacks last year at age 5.
Now at age 6, she's almost had her first run in with ski patrol, going hard and fast. She was lapping the Village most of the day yesterday, with a few race training!!! laps on Big D, and can't wait to get out there again.
Oh goodness, we've created another snow-monster :D

I didn't realise so many people in here had kids. It's great to get feedback. Little people make everything so much more interesting don't they.

My little person is currently squealing and throwing a tanty at Daddy so please excuse me.....
