Can anyone one see Frog's giant in profile?

Maybe it's a Smurf?

Or maybe it's Jesus?

The Madonna?

Michael Jackson?

You post these maps but I have no idea what they are. Can you give a bit of an explanation to them for the weather retards amongst us? In non weather nerd speak would be great!

I'm a vet,not a weather man. But Google comes up with some fancy photo's doesn't it?

I like the look of the dude with the long purple hair in the second image!

I've got no idea exactly what they mean, but to my uneducated mind it looks like a lot of cold air in the south Atlantic.

The giant shall awaken,
and vengeance he shall seek.
Covering everything in it's path
with white flakes from valley to peak.

Is this the Giant 'freestyling' across the mountains on Wednesday?

http://i709.photobucket.com/albums/ww93/curiousaussie/4.png

Or is it his little brother and the giant is due to perform 10 days later?

Is it a star jump off Tasmania?

He seems to have a smile on his face smile.gif

So Frog, I just gotta know; if you were doing a forecast today, would you be waking the giant and upgrading or letting sleeping giants lie?

The Frog
08-08-2009, 09:31 AM
They chop and change everyday but todays charts indicate snow above 1600m on Tuesday. Looks like about 15cm+ up top and then some lighter falls on Wednessay. Ofcourse the way things are it could change again tomorrow....but it looks back on a little anyway.

Snow level could be a bit dodgy but if you stay high you may well be rewarded for your patience. The mositure is back, as you can see on the below charts. Yesterday's charts nearly gave me a heart attack when it dissappeared.

The giant is going to run across the skifields Sunday night drop about 10-20cms and then go back into hiding.

Around his brief appearance warm days meaning the 10-20cms will basically bring us back to current snow depths.

Warmer temps after that will mean meltage.
