Anyone have any suggestions on where to stay close to Craigieburn and Broken River. I have done some searches but don't come up with much. "The Burn" looks good and is the front runner so far.

any camping parks or home stays in those towns? Small I know but if you want to be close to Broken river it might be an option.

Depends on how cold you want to be I guess.
The Burn is good & it's close.
Try Flock Hill, they have backpackers accom & not too far away either (say 5 km from the Craigieburn turn off on the Arthurs pass side.

When are you hoping to come this isde of the ditch?
Hopefully we might have some snow by then, windy & cold here ATM, feels more like winter is on it's way.
Don't forget Porters (sorry had to say that)
Woohoo Hi Ferg. Welcome back.

arrive on 23rd of July. Hutt for 2 days for a warmup, then B/River and Craigieburn for 2 days each and one day heli wherever it fits in.

Hi Bear, you look a bit thin there!
Sigh, I miss heli skiing, must do that again...
Just trying to think when School holidays end, think you are over here after that so that ought to help.
I'm guessing you haven't been to the basin before, if the snow is right then the run home through Alan's basin at BR is nice & long.
The Burn is good. Stayed there in 2009. The food is amazing.

Cragieburn is awesome (haven't been to BR but I bet its good too). Why don't you stay on the mountain, its a great atmosphere and very cheap. I'm going to Cragieburn in the 3rd week of August and I just can't wait!
Hey Tobi, when did you become a patroller, you took a job change?
Patroller as in moderator on here, not an actual patroller.
Although I did meet someone recently who used to be a patroller at porters and knew the burn guys.
PS - How are you, the farm, the fam etc?
