Well...How did everyone go with the Aldi sale today? Did you buy anything??
I got the kids new snow boots, thermal underwear, and some great zip up ski tops to wear under their jackets. I got one for myself also and it is really comfy and warm. We were at the shop at 9am and there was a big line up waiting for 9am but we got the sizes we needed.
I bought some stuff 2 years ago and I have been very happy with it.

I got some socks - $10 beats the $50-60 pairs I've had in the past. Will see how they go, but I'm not expecting anything flash

My crew have had the Aldi socks for years - they have been happy with them. Also, had apres boots for years for the kids - they were great.

Yep, I agree Xena with the socks-pretty good and wear/wash well too. But I dont wear them as I like really thin socks and aldi ones are a touch too thick for me but the rest of the family like them.

Got my son the next size up suit. Looks OK. Has an H on the pocket to make it look like a Helly Hansen suit. A lot of Faux's had to die for the fur!!! Grabed the soft shells for us in the usual size and they are a tad on the small side! (or otherwise we have put on weight). The other half looked like he was wearing my riding jods!.... So a trip back today to swap them for hopefully the next size up. Thought they might be ok for general wear or spring skiing.

You do get what you pay for, although I do think the socks appear to be good value, pity the money doesn't support the Australian snowsports industry and even Aldi apparently don't make anything out of it.
I am not complaining though as I too have bought stuff from Aldi in the past.

I think for kids stuff it makes good sense to buy from Aldi as they tend to grow out of close so quickly so why spend more then you need to on an item with a limited life span.
I just wish they sold chains as I have worn mine out with the rain up here last week

Yeah me too - I wear Smartwool socks myself. But, as a few have said, for kids the Aldi gear is ok. Their gloves are crap though and I've never bought the clothing. The gloves we used as snow play only gloves. Gotta have good gloves for skiing.

I just wish they sold chains as I have worn mine out with the rain up here last week hehehe Fred you should try dipping the chains into a chrome bath before you drive each day.... it might harden up the chains a little and get some extra wear out of them and the extra bling effect could be worth it up there. Maybe try some nitrogen in your tyres??

Not much left when I visited the Dural store today. Apparently it was mayhem in the store yesterday (according to Aldi staff).

Bought some thermals, skivvies and some extra off-snow gloves. Just a few extras to add to the more expensive stuff that we have.

i saw a ski boot bag in this cat.
Would they be suitable (size wise) for snowboard boots?
