I DID IT!!!

Completed the application with half an hour to spare - now all i need to do is sit back and wait. And the waiting could kill me.

No matter what we all think and feel about govt departments I am really excited about this role and what it can mean for my career. It has been a long time since I was this excited about a role.

the pays too low for me in govt jobs (unless your contracting or in the senior PS - then its a gravy train of the highest calibre :D ).

thats me hoots - govt contractor. if i can hold my job and hourly rate through the next 6 months or so i will be singing!

already bought a house because I didn't take the permanent position they offered me.

Congrats on finishing, they are complex beasties to put together!

I didn't offer advice as I've only successfully been chosen for 2 interviews out a billion applications for PS jobs.
