No, no the manufaqctured for tv rubbish, the real deal. Yep, its the bash-a-red-fest tonight at teh SFS graemlins/woohoo.gif Go the tahs. Love seeing the Orc (Phil Waugh) line em up and smash anything in his way :D
and the long overdue news that SANZAR has finally agreed that S14 will become S15 and run 22 weeks in 2011. I suspect games will end up on free to air as well. graemlins/woohoo.gif

no chance Bear. The games are always close due to it being a fowards slug fest. Lets just hope the ref puts his whistle away and just let them go at it!

Another boring win for NSW.
You all have no clue. Have you watched any of the Super 14 so far. The red are an attacking side with a decent enough pack to hold their own against the Tahs. The Reds backs will slaughter them. graemlins/woohoo.gif
Frog, It will not be a boring game and the Tahs will not win. tongue.gif

bear bear bear *shakeshead* History mah boy, history. Tradionally a close game.
The reds beat the cheetahs. Hardly worth boasting about. Hell, my sons U14 side would have ran circles around that fat slobby cheetahs pack in hot humid conditions as well.
Lets face it, the plain fact that the reds didnt score more and butchered a heap of tries tells me when the going gets tough, they'll wilt like a leaguie trying to construct a two phrase sentance to accept a man of the match award.

Ha the old call of look at the history. The last refuge of a team on the slide. smile.gif The reds just got too excited last week. I think they will have had it drilled into them this week that passes have to go to hand.
Yes the Cheetahs were a mob of fat unfit forwards that your kids could have beaten it just meant that the backs could try out a whole slew of new moves and get the errors out of the way.
I think the Tahs will try to knock the Reds arround early but will start to tire badly mid way through the second half leaving the Reds to do what they like as long as they can stay realatively injury free from the first half.
I would like to see the Orc (as you call him) try to monster McMeniman. :D

i will be there and i think the waratahs will be too good for the reds.
the news from sanzar is great as well.
until the rules are changed union will remain a boring game to watch.
gone are the days of running backs, attacking rugby and close finishes we saw 10+ years ago.
i say that as a lover of rugby, but they have to realise you need to have a product that isn't boring, that isn't 'crouch...touch...pause...hold....HOLD...ENGAGE!.. .. no no no get up, you did it wrong, come over here and try again'.
sounds like a teenage dating class.
I find scrums exciting. (I should state that I am a tight head prop) :D
in that case, just remember to change your pants after tonights game.

The problem with Union is they have stop the game when a forward gets tired and this happens atleast 10-20 times a game. Last week I saw a prop sit down, the ref blew time off and a trainer came on and put a bag of ice on his knee for 10 seconds while the prop wiped his hands and face on a towel. After this he was all better and got up to pack the scrum. If you are injured you either come off or play on. This way the game flows more as players get tired and space opens up for the backs. At the moment nobody is getting tired.

In league a forward has a place to hide. They pick when they have run and everything.
In union someone like Richie Mccaw will not stop running for 80mins. From ruck to ruck.
No rest for a forward in union.
Backs on the other hand.
Come dowm to shamrock park one saturday arvo soon and have a beer.

Good to see a league player win it for us :D
Nice to see the Tahs win on an illegal play. :(
Mind you it wasn't a good game from either side over 50 lost balls. :(

I have time to go to the dunny or get another beer or even both at times. They get too many rests.

As I called it. low scoring game with the tahs winning. typical reds v tahs clash - ugly.
and froggy, you are right with to many stoppages. The union needs to address some of the lame stop/start passages of play for no reason. If you ever caught any of the games from the defunct ARC (sadly only lasted a year) it was played at a very fast pace with minimal stoppages. I'm not sure why this isn't translating into S14 but it needs looking at.

As The Frog said, "Another boring win for NSW "
Would have loved to have been able to goto that game - listened to it on the radio.
Great to see another Waratah's win!
From what I heard, the ref let the game flow well for much of the game, even if it was quite low-scoring.

The brumbies V Tahs game this friday will be a much more free flowing game.
