View Full Version : swine flu and Western Australian schools
Apparently the WA Education Dept has told schools to not travel to Victoria because of swine flu. Has anyone heard of this impacting on school trips to ski resorts?

Not one person has died in Aust. from S flu this year. S F has been around since the 80s.More people have died from normal flu this year in Aust than S Flu.
Most of the people that have it have the symptoms of just a cold . What’s the big deal, I think It’s a media beat up.

Ez Power has had school groups cancel trips to Vic and NSW
We're having discussions - the school has prepaid the lift/lessons and flights on virgin. I'm really really interested in agencies taking the school money upfront, not passing it on, wanting their slice of prepayments as cancellation fees, from the school and then want the accom and service provider to just cop it sweet. I smell a double dip.

It affects some people more than others, including healthy people that have been admitted into ICU with life threatening status (Yes in Australia). As winter has only just begun, there could be more consequences to this that we haven't seen.
Just have to be careful like anything else, avoiding people coughing everywhere and sneezing all over the place without any etiquette or consideration for others!

I have a bad cold, but I doubt its swine flu, it turned to a chest infection and I went to the docs and he just asked if I had been to vic or mexico, I was thinking what a stupid doc swine flu is in NSW too
All fixed, and everyone's happy. I was soo looking forward to trawling thru these agency dealings too.
