if the latest models come of we could be in for a record snow depth season

for the those that dont understand the 5400 geopotential height will be at the blues mtns with... the 850hpa temps at -8 that is unheard of and as the newer models come out there upgrading the strength of this cold front to hit on frid so for anyone down there in threders it will be an almost unheard of dump in excess of a meter esp with an ecl forming to the south to give a huhe moisture feedSee More

Is he talking out his (you kow what)

So much can change between now and then. That is 216 hours out, fairyland stuff.
Now if it happened to come off as in the link, EPIC would be the word.
Just as a side note, the last system that hit us on the weekend was progged on an EC map about 192 hours out I think when no other model wanted a bar of it. Similar to what this one looks like.
Highly doubt it though.
If it was to happen I would be drinking free peroni :D

If the charts that updated this afternoon stayed as they are then southern NSW would be in for the biggest storm and drenching in living memory....

Just won't happen. And those charts also show it too warm for snow, just rain.

Should stay cold enough for some nice snowfalls, most of the warm wet stuff will head off the coast. Might be a nice little top up for us though DHS....that's why we pay extra to stay in the mountains in August. :)
