Hey all, I read a lot but don't post much, A slight case of Snowatch Stalking ;) Whats the likely hood of any of the traverse and link trails opening between blue cow and Perisher before next 5th of August. Not much fun if there not, the Ski tube is a pain....

Fingers crossed anyway

Cheers

Ryan...

There's probably more chance of Osama Bin Laden singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl, but ya just never know! ;)

dont forget the flippers.

in all seriousness though i dont think anyone has a certain idea of what is going to happen apart from rain then snow, but which days, how much of either is all still up in the air, pardon the pun.

Only thing to do Is wait and see I guess, might mod my board for flipper grips ;)

Any one got any idea of how much more natural snow we would need before The interceptor, Pleasant Valley, copperhead road etc would open????

I'm clutching at straws here

Lots, I don't even know why they have pretty valley lift open, has 1 thin trail of brown ice

Yeah I've heard Pretty is in a really bad way. Any snow that falls in that area now is falling on zero base so we'll need 50cm plus, maybe more, before Interceptor is able to open.

John Deere

At least 80cm I think...then it would also have to stay cold.

The Wang

Not looking likely is it?!

Ryan

Its sounding pretty bad, that's for sure....Just have to make the most of it I guess

If things line up better in the coming days, it almost could be primo...

But I'd be taking the rockhoppers, a fishing rod and a refreshed liver, just in case!

John Deere

OK, I dont know if it will be Primo, even if 80 falls, cos it is falling on grass. At least in 2006 when we had the big dump we had a measly base that had flattened the heath a little. No such luxury this time.

But hey, if 80 falls, there will be fun to be had, even if it is at the expense of P-Tex.

They really need to have snow making on Pleasant Valley i'm surprised they haven't done it before.

Zali's and rollercoaster are the pick, less crowds and decent snow cover

Damm strait! and its not just the p-tex, its all the base grinds that go with it!

Any Chance of these systems opening up the between blue Cow & Perisher??

John Deere

If they haven't sent all their staff home, I'd say almost a cert!

JSJ

would have to be quite a decent dump that offered a solid safe base.. not to mention having the staff to man the lifts required. We'll just have to sit on the fence for a bit and see what happens

JSJ

oh how I long to take that lift up Interceptor and scoot through the trees over soft powder stashes then down onto Copperhead... please.. please.. let it happen.. even it were for one day!

They really need to have snow making on Pleasant Valley i'm surprised they haven't done it before.

There are lots of alpine bogs in Pleasant Valley and I think the main draw back is environmental reasons
Same reason for lack of summer grooming, there are a LOT of rocks in Pleasant Valley

Just need perisher to BC to link and it will be sweet. Getting the Smiggins link T-bar would be nice as well (especially as I may need to try to sneak out of there for a few hours). :D
