The wife just cut me off at 6 spoons. Could have definitely gone a few more.

I think a good rule of thumb is 1/4 of the glass Milo, 3/4 milk.

Considering it is 50% sugar, 2 spoonfuls is enough.

The 25% seems about right, unless it's for my kids then two spoons is plenty. smile.gif

A splash of milk in the tin should do it :D

My last milo was 2 days ago after getting home from work starving..... 750ml of milk and the rest of a can( about 7-9 table spoons) needless to say i didnt eat dinner until 10 ish ;)

25% milo, a little boiling water to dissolve it all then add 50% milk and 25% chocolate ice cream. Microwave briefly to melt and mix the ice cream in then stir into a nice thick milo thickshake.

If you put in too much, you run the risk of a Milo sneeze. And no one likes Milo out their nose!

I don't drink/eat milo very often, but when I do, I do it in style :D and have ALOT of it.

The best way to eat milo is to fill a cup with milk, sprinkle a spoon of milo on top of the milk, and with another spoon dip the spoon into the milk and under the milo, and pull out a spoon of milk with fresh crunchy yummy milo on top, and eat it. Do this until the milo is gone, and add another spoon of milo and repeat process until there is NO more milk left in the cup!

Its the best, soooo yummy! but its also the reason why I hardly ever eat milo! (that and milk doesn't feel so good in my tummy)

I think my wife definately subscribes to the 80/20 principle... you know the one where only 20% of the population do stuff the right way... I think if she could it would be 80% milo/20% milk but she gets away with about 30% milo and I start going nuts... when you have six kids you just can't set those kind of precedents...

:D :D

Podlettte
24-10-2009, 04:18 PM
is that so you can have the 80% milo spicey?

I once hid a large container of Milo under mine when I was A kid, I had a table spoon in it and I'd take a MOUTHfull every now and then. That's when I found out leaving a spoon in the tin spoils the Milo.

Yes!!! We made the best banana splits in Canada!!!

We took our own Milo, but we have seen it in shops rarely...

Cut banana in half, sprinkle with milo, heat in microwave... serve with ice cream if you are into that ;) (I'm not).

1 large glass.

3/4 cup milo using many heaped soup spoon. follow the 1 for the cup one for me rule.

bang cup on bench a few times to make the milo settle

then.. add 2 - 3 fingers of milk.

(milo stays submerged! :D )

then scoop a chunk of milo out with a thin coating of milk.. eat.

continue until milo runs out and you have a lil bit of choc milk to finish it off!

mmm

then another scoop out of the tin as you put it back..

Why would you buy a small tin? Never less than a 1kg tin in our house.

temptation control, I can visually hide a small tin and forget about it ;)

just grab a tin and a spoon. Fill up your mouth and start chewing. Pour milk from carton straight into mouth. Then close. Shake head.

Instant milkshake

Add more milk till all milo is gone.

Saves on washing up :D

Looks like we need a Milo cook off one day to see what is the best way to use Milo as a main ingredient.

All the suggestions suddenly made me have an urge to bolt to the cupboard and experiment with it!

I have found that putting a banana and a couple tea spoons of Milo mixed with (terrible) Brandy in a blender makes an interesting...er....drink.
